Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kajun Puno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hongman Choi! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puno thows a leg kick but Choi checks it and Choi counters with a series of strikes. Puno will be more careful next time no doubt. Puno takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Choi has a takedown stuffed. Choi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Puno circles away from the clinch attempt.
Choi fails in his attempt to clinch. Puno swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Whack! Choi lands a heavy head kick that drops Puno. The ref tackles Choi to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Puno was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Hongman Choi! An intense looking Hongman Choi took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'In The Name China'.
