Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasmussen shoots in but Groszek avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rasmussen tries to close the distance and clinch but Groszek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rasmussen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Groszek avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rasmussen is defended easily by Groszek.
Mariusz Groszek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Groszek throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rasmussen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rasmussen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Micall Rasmussen has been cut.
Groszek lands a big uppercut and Rasmussen crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rasmussen looks OK. Groszek waves Rasmussen back to his feet!
Rasmussen is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Groszek throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rasmussen counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Rasmussen is still in real trouble! Can Groszek finish him?
Rasmussen gets to his feet - Groszek follows without any prompting.
Rasmussen shoots and misses
and Groszek counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Rasmussen off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Groszek follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Rasmussen was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mariusz Groszek!
