Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ronaldo Ricardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spider Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricardo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is In the End. Spider Silva has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ronaldo Ricardo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricardo looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well.
Silva shoots in and bounces Ricardo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Silva cracks Ricardo with a solid left hand.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ricardo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ricardo is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.
Silva wants to control from the top but Ricardo keeps moving.
Silva engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Ricardo is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Silva dives into side control.

Silva postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Ricardo is working to avoid the ground and pound but Silva connects with a decent elbow.
Silva tries for a kimura but Ricardo is defending well.
Ricardo is looking to regain half guard here but Silva keeps moving and retains side control.
Silva wants to control but Ricardo is keeping him busy.
Ricardo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva throws a strike aimed at the side of Ricardo's head but Ricardo avoids it well.

Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ricardo keeps working.
Silva is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

and Silva counters with a head kick.
Ricardo is breathing heavily.
Silva misses with a kick to the body.
Silva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ricardo did well to prevent Silva getting side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ricardo sprawls well. Ricardo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
Ricardo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ricardo as he jumps to the side.

and Silva counters with a head kick. That will keep Ricardo thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva wants to take a breather but Ricardo is having none of it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silva scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ricardo is rocked!
Ricardo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Silva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ricardo is in Silva's guard.
Oh Ricardo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Spider Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ricardo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ricardo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ricardo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ricardo scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Silva to see if he's OK.
The strikes coming from Ricardo are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Ricardo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Silva works to advance to full mount. Ricardo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Silva cracks Ricardo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Ronaldo Ricardo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Spider Silva is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Spider Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
