Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shigeo Miyato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shigeo Miyato! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miyato shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ryan napping and manages to drive through into side control! Ryan wants to control but Miyato postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ryan prevents Miyato from improving position. Ryan is looking for a sweep. Miyato thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Ryan struggling a bit here. Miyato goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ryan has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Miyato but great work by Ryan. Miyato prevents Ryan from moving into mount. Ryan is looking to take a break and control but Miyato is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ryan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miyato tries to buck Ryan off but Ryan is having none of it. Miyato is not content to let Ryan control the position. Ryan tries for a kimura but Miyato is defending well. Miyato gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Ryan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryan is thwarting Miyato's attempts to control the position. Ryan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Ryan seems to be working for a kimura but Miyato defends the submission attempt. Ryan is working for a kimura but Miyato is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Miyato is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Miyato's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Miyato defends it well. Ryan is looking to advance position but Miyato won't allow it. Ryan passes into side control, despite Miyato's attempt to control the position.
Ryan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The ground and pound from Ryan seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miyato is not content to let Ryan control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Phil Ryan will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Miyato shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Miyato shoots in and drives through. Ryan sprawls well. Miyato looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ryan! Miyato trying to control but he's not successful this time. Miyato wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Ryan sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Miyato is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ryan is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
