The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertolone swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Boon counter with a right hand.

It looks like Edoardo Bertolone has been cut.
Boon scores with a one two! Bertolone had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Boon lands a stunning uppercut that sends Bertolone to the mat!

Boon seems to be working for a kimura but Bertolone defends the submission attempt.

Boon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bertolone doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boon.

Boon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bertolone is just riding it out for now. Boon eventually gives up the hold.

Bertolone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Boon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bertolone manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Boon has Bertolone in his guard.

Boon has an Americana. Bertolone didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Boon is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Boon hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

A determined Kirk Boon didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
