Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kazuhiko Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willy Coffey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kazuhiko Tanaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willy Coffey! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanaka is trying hard to land a takedown here. Coffey sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Coffey rushes Tanaka and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Coffey jumps guard but Tanaka turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Tanaka takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Kazuhiko Tanaka has been cut. Coffey breaks the clinch.
Tanaka is looking to clinch but Coffey is avoiding it.
Coffey drives through and clinches with Tanaka against the cage.
Coffey pulls guard effortlessly. Tanaka wants to stand but Coffey is controlling his posture from full guard. Tanaka wants to stand and escape but instead Coffey has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Coffey wants to pass the guard but Tanaka is keeping the position. Tanaka avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanaka trying to keep a closed guard but Coffey is proving a slippery customer.
Coffey throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tanaka works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Coffey throws a big elbow that misses. Coffey trying to control the position from guard on top but Tanaka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coffey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Coffey pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tanaka is keeping the position for now. Coffey throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Coffey trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Coffey working some strikes from top position. Tanaka looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Coffey trying to control the position from guard on top but Tanaka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tanaka knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Coffey on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coffey throwing strikes but missing. Coffey working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coffey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Coffey postures up and lands a big shot to Tanaka's brow. Coffey gets to his feet. Tanaka looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Coffey throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tanaka was covering up waiting for the punch and Coffey finishes the takedown easily into guard. Coffey throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Coffey postures up in Tanaka's guard and throws a big left but Tanaka blocks it. Tanaka manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coffey manages to get himself to full guard.
Tanaka is breathing heavily. Tanaka wanted to stand there but Coffey had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coffey seems keen to control Tanaka's posture. Coffey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Coffey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Coffey drops an elbow to the side of Tanaka's head. Coffey lands with a punch from half guard. Coffey decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coffey throws a quick inside leg kick. Coffey closes the distance and pushes Tanaka back into the cage. Coffey presses Tanaka against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tanaka on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Coffey lands a hook that snaps the head of Tanaka backwards. Tanaka is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Coffey is keeping busy. A short right from Coffey on the inside. Coffey lands an uppercut. Coffey pulls Tanaka into guard.
Coffey manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Coffey landing strikes from the mount and Tanaka is in trouble! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Willy Coffey dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kazuhiko Tanaka's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Coffey clinches with his opponent.
Tanaka tries to break free but Coffey pushes him back against the cage. Coffey with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Coffey wants the takedown. Tanaka is fighting it off but Coffey persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tanaka's guard against the cage. Coffey distracts Tanaka with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Tanaka keeping moving, preventing Coffey from controlling successfully. Coffey postures up in Tanaka's guard and throws a big left but Tanaka blocks it. Coffey throwing strikes but missing. Coffey prevents Tanaka from getting back to his feet. Coffey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tanaka swivels though and keeps the full guard. Coffey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coffey throwing strikes but missing. Coffey advances to half guard. Coffey decides to return to a standing position. No luck for Tanaka with that takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tanaka misses with a head kick.
Coffey dives in and grabs Tanaka's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tanaka pushes down on Coffey's head and hops out. Tanaka looks to score with a jab to the body but Coffey is just out of range. Horrible takedown by Coffey or perhaps it was just good defense by Tanaka which made him look bad. Kazuhiko Tanaka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tanaka rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Coffey counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Coffey moves into the clinch. Coffey jumps into guard, dragging Tanaka to the mat.
Coffey kicks Tanaka off and gets to his feet. A punch combination from Tanaka misses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Coffey tests Tanaka's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coffey gets a clinch. Coffey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Coffey scores with a takedown into Tanaka's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coffey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Coffey lands a couple of digs. Coffey is looking to work some ground and pound but Tanaka has wrist control. Coffey cracks Tanaka with a solid left hand. Coffey is pushing down on Tanaka's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tanaka is fighting to maintain full guard but Coffey has managed to sneak the leg through. Coffey not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Coffey sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tanaka defending well though. Coffey has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coffey working the ground and pound effectively.
Coffey lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Coffey breaks from Tanaka's wrist control and lands an elbow. Coffey landing strikes, looking to finish! Coffey lands with some strikes. Coffey punishing his opponent with strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Coffey scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Tanaka is rocked! Coffey has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Coffey working away from the top, dropping strikes. Oh Tanaka is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coffey has control of Tanaka's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tanaka regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Tanaka seems to have got his legs back now. Coffey lands a big shot there that rocks Tanaka but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Coffey cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Coffey lands a big shot there that rocks Tanaka but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Coffey is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Tanaka has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Coffey postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Tanaka in real trouble here! The ref calls for Tanaka to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Willy Coffey!
