And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ozuma Obata!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jecht takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

The fighters circling - Obata throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jecht ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Obata throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jecht counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Obata throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jecht fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Obata sprawls well initially but Jecht persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jecht really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Obata wants to get back to his feet.
Obata really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jecht. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jecht takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Obata can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jecht connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Obata some visible discomfort.
Obata is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jecht connects with a decent elbow.

Jecht cracks Obata with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Jecht immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Obata is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Jecht!
