Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladik Fedotov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Summers! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Summers misses with a jab to the body
and Fedotov counters with a head kick. Fedotov throws the kick towards the body but Summers avoids it. Summers shoots in looking for a takedown but Fedotov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Summers's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fedotov scores with a kick to the body.
Summers drives through with a takedown into guard. Fedotov is trying to hold Summers in close to prevent damage but Summers has managed to pass into half guard.
Summers is looking to take a break and control but Fedotov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Summers scoring with strikes to the body and head. Fedotov wants to improve his position but Summers is controlling well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Well, if Summers is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's one minute gone in the round. Summers drops an elbow to the side of Fedotov's head. Fedotov is trying to stand.
Summers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Summers is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fedotov tries to get to full guard but Summers has control of the leg. Summers is trying to control the action in half guard but Fedotov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Summers throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Summers not landing any meaningful shots this time. Fedotov is trying to maintain the position but Summers is very close to passing his half guard. Summers missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Fedotov is looking for a sweep. Summers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fedotov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Summers wants to take a breather but Fedotov is having none of it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Summers missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Summers seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fedotov works his way to full guard. Good work. Fedotov looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Fedotov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Fedotov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fedotov kicks Summers off and gets to his feet. Summers scores a takedown into full mount! Summers cracks Fedotov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Summers lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Summers is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Fedotov is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fedotov is wriggling around trying to escape.
Oh Fedotov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Summers trying to control but Fedotov is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Summers cracks Fedotov with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dylan Summers! After the fight, Dylan Summers was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
