Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Duscaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Dance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duscaw comes to the cage accompanied by "I am the Walrus" by The Beatles. Dance has chosen Broken Beating Scarred - Metallica as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Duscaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bill Dance! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duscaw defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dance. Duscaw defending well as Dance loads up on a big left hand. Dance throws a right and a left that Duscaw avoids nicely. Duscaw tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Brandon Duscaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dance closes this distance looking for a takedown but Duscaw circles away. Duscaw jabbing away but nothing is landing. Dance moves forwards but Duscaw connects with a nice, crisp jab. Duscaw fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dance to the ground. Duscaw is now in Dance's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Dance wants to sweep but no luck. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duscaw accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Duscaw has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Duscaw pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dance is keeping the position for now. Dance is looking for a triangle here but Duscaw uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Duscaw is trying to get an arm triangle but Dance is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dance struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Duscaw is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Dance's shoulder. That is not cool. Dance tries to buck Duscaw off but Duscaw is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Duscaw working the body and head with strikes. Dance is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Duscaw thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dance is not content to let Duscaw control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dance is looking to reverse the position. Sloppy strikes there by Duscaw. Duscaw is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dance is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Duscaw wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dance, who protects the arm well. You can see the frustration on Dance's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. I wouldn't like to be where Dance is right now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dance is looking to reverse the position. Duscaw content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Dance on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Dance is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Duscaw off and has taken his back! Dance has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Dance is striking well from the back but Duscaw escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being. Nice strikes from Dance there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duscaw won't allow Dance to pass to mount. Dance is stalling here. Duscaw is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dance seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Duscaw has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Dance is looking for a sweep. Dance manages to work his way to half guard, despite Duscaw's best efforts. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Duscaw works his way into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dance on the wrong end of some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duscaw throws a right and a left that Dance avoids nicely. Dance misses with a takedown attempt - Duscaw sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dance misses with a head kick.
Duscaw scores with a jab. A head kick misses from Duscaw. Dance throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Brandon Duscaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Duscaw misses with a few strikes there.
Duscaw misses the shot to the body. The fighters circle momentarily. Duscaw darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Duscaw fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Dance walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Duscaw shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dance is trying to defend but Duscaw finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. This has been an exciting period of action! Dance works his way to full guard. Good work.

Duscaw won't allow Dance to sweep him here. Duscaw trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Dance avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Duscaw avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Duscaw passes Dance's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Dance is looking for a sweep. Duscaw is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Duscaw seems to be working for a kimura but Dance defends the submission attempt. Dance is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Duscaw postures up and lands a big shot to Dance's brow. Duscaw controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Dance had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Duscaw defends it easily. Duscaw would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Duscaw lands a couple of digs. Duscaw working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Duscaw gets to his feet - Dance follows without any prompting. Nice cross by Duscaw. Dance dodges the punch combination from Duscaw.
Dance tries to score a power double leg takedown but Duscaw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dance somewhat.

Brandon Duscaw overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dance takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Dance looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dance misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Dance throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Dance thowing shots but they're missing. Dance is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Duscaw can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Dance throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Dance looking to ground and pound but Duscaw is blocking nicely. Dance throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Duscaw because Dance loaded up on that one. Dance trying to control but Duscaw is having none of it.
