Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Wade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikko Ukkonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wade comes to the cage accompanied by Are You Ready?. Mikko Ukkonen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Wade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mikko Ukkonen!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wade is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ukkonen looks to throw the jab but Wade is out of range.
Wade fails with a takedown attempt.
Wade shoots in looking for a takedown but Ukkonen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wade's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ukkonen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ukkonen showed some decent athleticism there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ukkonen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wade gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Wade wants to control from the top but Ukkonen keeps moving.

Wade will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wade lands a nice short elbow.
Wade really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wade wants to work for an arm triangle but Ukkonen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Wade is looking for a kimura but Ukkonen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wade to get the leverage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Thomas Wade will probably get the nod.

Ukkonen throws a right and a left that Wade avoids nicely.

Horrible takedown by Wade or perhaps it was just good defense by Ukkonen which made him look bad.

Wade tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ukkonen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wade somewhat.
