Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Pontes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Kazashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazashi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Enter The Ninja kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pontes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kazashi can't do much from the bottom here.
Kazashi sneaks back into half guard.
Kazashi looks like he's trying to stand up.
Pontes is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Kazashi reverses the position - he's now on top in Pontes's guard.
Kazashi looking to sit in guard and control but Pontes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pontes is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kazashi has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Pontes is looking to defend but Kazashi has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Pontes! Kazashi pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Pontes taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rafael Kazashi!
Rafael Kazashi spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
