Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz fails with a takedown attempt.
Ape wants to clinch up but Cruz keeps it at a distance.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ape sprawls well. Ape wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet.
Cruz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ape is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ape tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Cruz finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Ape throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cruz's waist but Cruz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ape off to one side.
Ape shoots in looking for a takedown but Cruz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ape's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ape is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cruz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cruz shrugs it off.
Cruz swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Ape wants to stand but Cruz is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ape swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cruz is now in Ape's guard. A big mistake from Ape there, giving up the dominant position!
Cruz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ape is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ape wants to control but Cruz is keeping him busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ape is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cruz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ape.

Cruz has closed the distance and engaged Ape in a clinch.
Ape throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cruz blocks it with crossed arms.
Cruz lands an elbow that stopped Ape in his tracks for a moment.
Cruz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cruz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Ape lands a big shot there that rocks Cruz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Cruz defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ape.
BOOM! Ape connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ape wants to control the pace but Cruz is squirming around nicely.

Grape Ape showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Ape fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cruz avoids it really well and circles away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Cruz, right into the meat.
Ape wants to clinch but Cruz slips to the side
and Cruz holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Cruz has Ape pressed against the cage.
Ape tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Cruz avoiding damage as Ape throws knees to the body.
Cruz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
No luck for Ape with that takedown attempt.
Felipe Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grape Ape.

Cruz jumps guard and drags Ape to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Cruz wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Horrible takedown by Cruz or perhaps it was just good defense by Ape which made him look bad.

Cruz shoots in for a takedown but Ape shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
