Meier tries for a takedown but Malenko circles away easily
and Malenko counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Meier looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Malenko passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Meier!
Malenko takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Malenko looking to isolate an arm here. Meier doesn't see it coming and as Malenko extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Malenko!
