Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Norman Osborn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ritsuko Asuke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norman Osborn could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ritsuko Asuke's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Norman Osborn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ritsuko Asuke!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asuke scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Osborn looks for a takedown but Asuke sprawls well.
Asuke rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Osborn counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Osborn.
Asuke is trying to keep Osborn in close.

Asuke working for a triangle but Osborn defends it easily.
Osborn stands up over Asuke, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Osborn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Asuke has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Osborn has managed to get both his arms back between Asuke's legs - danger averted.
Osborn is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Osborn with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Osborn trying to control the position from guard on top but Asuke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Osborn lands a couple of digs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Osborn throws a big elbow that misses.
Osborn is working Asuke over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Asuke pushes Osborn off and scrambles back to his feet.
Asuke jabs Osborn right on the nose. Osborn blinks but takes it well.

Osborn lands with a right hand.
Asuke throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Osborn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Asuke wants to get back to his feet.
Osborn is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Osborn uses his free foot to push down on Asuke's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Asuke.
Asuke is desperately trying to improve his position but Osborn has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Asuke wants to control but Osborn is having none of it.

It looks like Ritsuko Asuke has been cut.
Osborn lands a big shot to the head and Asuke winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
