Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Miranda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miranda comes into the arena with Kymani Marley - Hustler blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lucas Rocha was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Rocha! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rocha stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rocha wants it to stay on the feet. Miranda closes the distance and clinches up with Rocha, looking for a takedown. Miranda pushes Rocha against the cage but Rocha circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. An inside leg kick from Rocha misses. Miranda looks for a takedown but Rocha sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Miranda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rocha drops Miranda with a beautiful combination! Miranda stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rocha is looking for the KO!

It looks like Andre Miranda has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Miranda shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Miranda showed some decent athleticism there. Miranda is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miranda is trying to work for a kimura but Rocha is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Miranda is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rocha is just riding it out for now. Miranda eventually gives up the hold. Rocha blocking the ground and pound attempt from Miranda. Rocha is looking to control Miranda's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rocha avoid being mounted? Miranda passes to full mount! Miranda is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rocha to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rocha shrugs it off. Miranda looking to secure an arm triangle but Rocha defends it well. Miranda jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rocha manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Miranda thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Miranda tries to score with some ground and pound. Rocha controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Miranda is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rocha is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Miranda looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Rocha wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Miranda advances nicely into full mount. Rocha is desperately trying to improve his position but Miranda has a good base and remains in mount. Miranda working for a guillotine from mount but Rocha is in no mood to give up. That's four minutes gone in the round. Miranda looking to secure an arm triangle but Rocha defends it well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Miranda mounts Rocha! Really nice guard pass there! Miranda throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Rocha has his hands clasped together but Miranda breaks the hold and Rocha is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Miranda!
