The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A thudding body kick lands there by Martinez!
Nice straight punches there by Martinez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Martinez.
Martinez lands a body shot.
Wu takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wu closes this distance looking for a takedown but Martinez circles away.
Wu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Juan Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Martinez, right into the meat.
Wu has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Martinez.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Martinez misses with a head kick.
Martinez fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wu has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wu looks gassed!
Jab, jab by Martinez - just one landing.
Wu takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Martinez throws a nice outside leg kick.
Martinez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wu.
Martinez scores with a sloppy right hand. Wu should have avoided that one.
Wu looks up at the clock. Bad move! Martinez lands a right hand from hell, dropping Wu. Martinez pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Juan Martinez!
Juan Martinez decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
