Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Baroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and High Lighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lighter has chosen What What (In the Butt) as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Baroa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, High Lighter!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lighter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Baroa sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Baroa moves away from the strike by Lighter.
Baroa misses with a takedown
and Lighter counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Baroa has his takedown stuffed
and Lighter counters with a left and a right that stings Baroa.
Lighter misses the shot to the body.
Baroa shoots in but no luck this time.

Baroa moves out of range of the strikes.
Lighter looks to throw the jab but Baroa is out of range.

Baroa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lighter.
Lighter stalks Baroa and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Baroa's face. Baroa staggers backwards, shaken.

Lighter throws a nice looking combination but Baroa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Baroa doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lighter counters with a nice body shot.

and Lighter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lighter lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Oh Baroa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lighter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Lighter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Baroa looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Baroa looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Baroa!
Baroa seems to have got his legs back now.
Lighter regains half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lighter trying to hold on to Baroa's head to control him but Baroa postures up.

Lighter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Baroa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Baroa's back!

Baroa trying to control the hands but Lighter breaks the grip.
Lighter is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Baroa defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Baroa is in a bad position with Lighter working for a choke. Baroa manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lighter is looking for a triangle but Baroa pushes his legs off easily.
Lighter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Baroa defends it easily.
Lighter throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Baroa escapes and throws Lighter's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lighter prevents Baroa from moving into mount.
Baroa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lighter keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
High Lighter dominated that round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lighter uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Baroa.
Lighter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Baroa moves away.
Lighter wants to slow Baroa down by chopping away at his legs.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Baroa. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Lighter lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Lighter attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Jose Baroa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baroa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

A decent looking cross lands there for Lighter.

and Baroa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Baroa looks for the body kick but Lighter saw that one coming.
Baroa ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Baroa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lighter circles away.

Baroa tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Lighter counters with an outside leg kick.
Lighter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lighter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Baroa.
Lighter throws a right and a left that both miss.
A bone on bone clash there as Baroa blocks the leg kick.

Lighter slaps away a takedown attempt from Baroa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Baroa doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Lighter to counter with a crisp jab.
Baroa throws the left hand but Lighter avoids the punch easily.
Lighter throws a right and a left that Baroa avoids nicely.
Lighter looks to score with a jab to the body but Baroa is just out of range.
Baroa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lighter.

Lighter shoots in and bounces Baroa off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Baroa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lighter is aware though and is defending well.
Baroa controls Lighter momentarily but Lighter frees himself.
Lighter drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Baroa manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lighter has Baroa in his guard.

Lighter can't keep his opponent in guard - Baroa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Lighter tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Baroa has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Lighter sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

High Lighter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Baroa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Baroa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lighter to score with a decent uppercut.

BOOM! Lighter lands a beautiful left hook that drops Baroa. Baroa tries to recover but Lighter is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Baroa lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). High Lighter!
An out of breath High Lighter thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
