Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Veiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reginald Nefarious (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veiga comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman. Diego Veiga had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Reginald Nefarious was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veiga tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nefarious paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Diego Veiga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nefarious keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nefarious drops Veiga with a nice combination! Nefarious dives into Veiga's guard, looking to finish!
Veiga is rocked!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nefarious with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Nefarious looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Nefarious looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Nefarious postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Veiga to stand up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Nefarious changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Veiga looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Veiga is breathing heavily.
Nefarious lands a decent elbow from side control.
Nefarious scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Veiga to see if he's OK.
The ground and pound from Nefarious seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Veiga tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nefarious wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Nefarious misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Nefarious is working Veiga over with some ground and pound from side control.

Nefarious is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Veiga will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Veiga tries to escape but Nefarious is in control.
Nefarious throwing strikes but Veiga manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Nefarious manages to get back to half guard.
Nefarious is pressing down on Veiga's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Veiga won't allow Nefarious to sweep him here.

Nefarious kicks Veiga off and gets to his feet.
Nefarious connects with a good right hand that stumbles Veiga. Veiga circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Veiga throws a series of punches but Nefarious avoids them all with ease.
Veiga tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nefarious paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Veiga lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Nefarious backs up against the cage.
Nefarious cracks a nice hook into Veiga's ribs.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Veiga tries to clinch but Nefarious is having none of it.
Nefarious changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Nefarious goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nefarious swats away the attempt to clinch by Veiga.
Veiga with a lazy takedown attempt
enabling Nefarious to counter with a crisp jab.
Nefarious is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Veiga hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
