Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muhamad Alli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Matson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alli's entrance music is De la Souls, by POS. A fine choice. Matson has chosen Remember the name as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alli misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Alli shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Alli showed some decent athleticism there.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Alli is trying to work for a kimura but Matson is defending well.
Matson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Alli is working away from the top position though.
Alli throwing shots but Matson is blocking nicely.
Matson is trying to maintain the position but Alli is very close to passing his half guard.
Matson manages to get to full guard.
Matson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Alli postures up and lands a big shot to Matson's brow.
Alli with a flurry of punches that miss.
Alli stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Alli is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Alli scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Matson is trying to keep Alli in close.
Matson has his hands on Alli's head, controlling the position.
Alli throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Alli wants to control from the top but Matson keeps moving.
Matson is trying to control the position but Alli postures up.

Matson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Alli doesn't defend quickly enough and Matson has managed to lock this one up! Can Alli escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Matson on a fantastic submission victory.

After the fight, Josh Matson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
