Urpilainen has chosen A Boy Named Sue by Johnny Cash as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Rizzo Jr!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jutta Urpilainen!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizzo Jr motions for Urpilainen to come forward. Rizzo Jr throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Urpilainen tries to clinch but Rizzo Jr is having none of it.
Rizzo Jr circles away from the clinch attempt.
Urpilainen throws a right and a left that both miss.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rizzo Jr lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Rizzo Jr tries a body shot but Urpilainen blocks it.
Rizzo Jr lands a shoulder strike.
Urpilainen fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rizzo Jr throws a head punch that misses.
Rizzo Jr doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Urpilainen looking for a takedown.
Urpilainen is trying to pull guard but Rizzo Jr has him pressed against the cage.
Frank Rizzo Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jutta Urpilainen.
Urpilainen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Rizzo Jr throws a punch but it's blocked by Urpilainen.
Rizzo Jr gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Urpilainen.

Urpilainen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rizzo Jr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Urpilainen shoots in and drives through. Rizzo Jr sprawls well.
Rizzo Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rizzo Jr fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Urpilainen.

Rizzo Jr stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rizzo Jr is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Rizzo Jr lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Urpilainen.

Rizzo Jr pushes Urpilainen back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The referee is keeping an eye on Rizzo Jr - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Urpilainen is trying to drag Rizzo Jr to the mat but Rizzo Jr just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Rizzo Jr misses with a hook from the clinch.
Rizzo Jr with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Rizzo Jr swings wildly with an uppercut but Urpilainen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Urpilainen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rizzo Jr pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Rizzo Jr is trying to stall.
Urpilainen blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Urpilainen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Urpilainen jumps guard and drags Rizzo Jr to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Rizzo Jr is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Rizzo Jr trying to control but Urpilainen is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rizzo Jr is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Urpilainen has a closed guard, preventing Rizzo Jr from standing up.

We're going to have a standup here because Frank Rizzo Jr wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Urpilainen wants to clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Urpilainen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rizzo Jr sprawls well. Rizzo Jr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Urpilainen gets slowly back to his feet.
Rizzo Jr throws a leg kick but Urpilainen sees it coming and checks it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rizzo Jr tries a head kick but it misses.
Urpilainen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rizzo Jr tries to clinch up.
Rizzo Jr throws a leg kick but Urpilainen sees it coming and moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Rizzo Jr dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Urpilainen has Rizzo Jr pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rizzo Jr manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Rizzo Jr is looking to control Urpilainen's arms but Urpilainen gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rizzo Jr has his back to the cage.

Urpilainen gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Urpilainen is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rizzo Jr!

Rizzo Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Urpilainen on the ground.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Urpilainen throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Rizzo Jr has his hands clasped together but Urpilainen breaks the hold and Rizzo Jr is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Urpilainen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jutta Urpilainen! Jutta Urpilainen retains his lightweight title!
