Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Earts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Leroy!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Earts walks into a straight right hand from Leroy.
Leroy darts in trying to clinch
enabling Earts to counter with a crisp jab.
Earts circles away from the clinch attempt.
Leroy moves to clinch but Earts breaks away

and Earts decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Leroy's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Leroy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Earts is one step ahead there.
Leroy wants to get back to his feet but Earts is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Leroy wriggles free and stands up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Leroy closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Earts.
Leroy tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Earts decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Leroy's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Earts is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Earts stopping the sweep attempt from Leroy.
Earts won't allow Leroy to get back to his feet.
Earts wants to pass the guard but Leroy is keeping the position.
Earts won't allow Leroy to sweep him here.
Leroy has momentary wrist control but Earts slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leroy wants to stand and escape but Earts is having none of it.
Leroy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Leroy wants to stand up but Earts is controlling him.
Leroy looking to control.
Leroy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Earts is one step ahead there.
Leroy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Earts is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Earts feints and as Leroy raises his hands in defense, Earts changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Earts is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Earts preventing the sweep.
Earts slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Leroy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Earts has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Leroy manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Leroy pushes Earts off looking to stand but Earts dives back in and keeps control.
Earts takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Leroy tries to roll over but Earts keeps him under control.
Earts lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Earts seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Leroy trying to get back to full guard but Earts takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Leroy takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Leroy is bucking up trying to escape but Earts cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Leroy really wants to buck Earts off and get back to his feet.
Leroy is wriggling around trying to escape.
Earts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Earts looking to finish Leroy with some ground and pound. This is bad for Leroy!
Leroy is working to get back to half guard.
Leroy is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Earts dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Earts shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Leroy tries to hold on but Earts pushes him away.
Leroy tries to reverse the position but Earts maintains control.
Leroy trying desperately to get to his feet.
Earts scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Leroy?
Leroy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Earts with good strikes from the mount here!


Leroy is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Leroy wants to control but Earts is having none of it.
Leroy is still in real trouble! Can Earts finish him?
Leroy is trying to escape the mount.
Leroy seems to have recovered his senses.
Earts looking to control but Leroy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Earts working for a submission but Leroy is keeping him at bay.

Leroy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Leroy squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Earts scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Leroy?
Earts has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Leroy's face.
Earts connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Earts controlling from mount.
Earts scoring with strikes but Leroy is staying in there.
Leroy is in all sorts of trouble here.

Earts with a couple of short strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Leroy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Earts trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Earts lands with some strikes.
Earts landing strikes from the mount and Leroy is in trouble!
Jim Earts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Leroy is looking to improve his position but Earts isn't that keen on the idea.
Earts controlling from mount.
Leroy tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Earts landing strikes, looking to finish!
Leroy can't escape the position.
Earts looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Earts postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Leroy badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Earts around the waist but Earts pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Earts is the winner by TKO! Earts jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Earts!
