The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Muai Thai closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Spartak quickly recovers to half guard.
Spartak looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Muai Thai is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Spartak doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Muai Thai.
Spartak holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Spartak is looking to improve his position.
Muai Thai thows a huge punch but Spartak dodges it nicely.
Muai Thai is looking to take a break and control but Spartak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Spartak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Muai Thai tightens his grip and picks Spartak up, before dumping him to the ground. Spartak manages to land in guard.
Muai Thai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spartak on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spartak is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Muai Thai is surviving well by controlling Spartak's body position as best he can.
Muai Thai tries to lock up and control but Spartak gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Muai Thai is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Muai Thai is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Spartak has taken his back!

That was a close round but I would say that Juan Muai Thai will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Muai Thai is just content to waste time from the top position. Spartak takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spartak has control of Muai Thai's left arm, preventing Muai Thai from doing any damage.
Spartak is breathing heavily.

Muai Thai is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Spartak is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Spartak has escaped and now he's on top!

Spartak decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Muai Thai, up you get!

Spartak tries to keep at a distance but Muai Thai has taken the fight into the clinch.

Muai Thai wants the takedown. Spartak is fighting it off but Muai Thai persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Spartak's guard against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Muai Thai has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Juan Muai Thai.
Muai Thai looks to land a left hand but Spartak moved out of range nicely.
Spartak misses with a series of wild punches.

Muai Thai shoots in and bounces Spartak off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Muai Thai drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Muai Thai jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Spartak escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Muai Thai gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Muai Thai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spartak swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Juan Muai Thai dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Muai Thai seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Spartak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Spartak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Spartak is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Muai Thai's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Muai Thai's back!
