Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ville Valo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Lundgren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ville Valo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ville Valo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Lundgren!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lundgren counters with a body kick.
Lundgren looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Valo is fending him off so far but Lundgren persists. Nope, Valo circles away and we're back to standing.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lundgren has Valo pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Valo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Lundgren has a couple of punches blocked by Valo.
Lundgren breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Valo lands a body shot.
Valo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Valo gets caught flat footed, as Lundgren shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Lundgren slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Valo.
Valo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Valo is trying to control but can't.
Valo tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lundgren stalling.

Valo moves into full guard.
Lundgren trying to control but Valo is working from the bottom.
Lundgren stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Valo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lundgren really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Martin Lundgren was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Valo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Valo is defended easily by Lundgren.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ville Valo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A punch lands to the side of Lundgren 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Valo leaves Lundgren with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Valo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Valo shoots in looking for a takedown but Lundgren manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Valo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lundgren has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lundgren drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Valo is pressed up against the cage. Lundgren has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Valo down to the mat. Valo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Valo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lundgren swivels and escapes.
Ville Valo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lundgren fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Valo avoids it really well and circles away.
Valo wants to clinch
and Lundgren counters with a body kick that stops Valo in his tracks momentarily.
Nice sprawl there from Valo as Lundgren shoots in.
A combination from Lundgren does no damage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Valo is defended easily by Lundgren.

and Lundgren makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Valo really felt that one!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lundgren tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Valo swivels and escapes.
Lundgren looks gassed!
Lundgren closes the distance and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Valo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lundgren paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Valo shoots in but Lundgren avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Valo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lundgren circles away.
Valo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lundgren to the mat! Lundgren manages to get full guard.
Lundgren looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Lundgren has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Valo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Valo trying to control the position from guard on top but Lundgren is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Valo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Lundgren is looking for a triangle but Valo pushes his legs off easily.
Valo wants to get up but he can't break Lundgren's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Lundgren is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lundgren is breathing heavily.
Valo wants to control from the top but Lundgren keeps moving.

Valo with a flurry of punches that miss.
Valo is looking to work some ground and pound but Lundgren has wrist control.
Valo trying to control the position from guard on top but Lundgren is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lundgren isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Valo stacks Lundgren on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Valo!
Valo in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Lundgren is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
