The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Boyka as Mendes shoots in.
Mendes ducks under a wild hook from Boyka.
Mendes with a lazy takedown attempt
and Boyka counters with a body kick that stops Mendes in his tracks momentarily.
Mendes tries to land a front kick but Boyka steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Boyka blocks a head kick by Mendes.
Mendes circles away from the clinch attempt.

A very excited looking Cristiano Mendes rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
