Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Rolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edwin Valero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Rolla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edwin Valero! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rolla looks for the body kick but Valero saw that one coming. Valero fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rolla shoots in for a takedown but Valero shows good takedown defense. Valero throws a series of punches but Rolla avoids them all with ease. Rolla walks into a left hand. Valero scores with a decent looking hook.
Rolla moves into range and clinches up with Valero. Rolla is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Valero gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A nice left hand lands by Valero.
Rolla jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Valero walks away with a smile on his face. Rolla gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Rolla. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rolla takes the fight into the clinch. Valero lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rolla backwards. Valero lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Valero working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Rolla tries to break the clinch but Valero is controlling the position. Valero lands a shot to the body. Rolla slows down the pace here.
Rolla tries to pull guard but Valero forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Valero is working Rolla over against the cage. Good body shot from Valero.
Rolla wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Valero has him pressed against the cage. Rolla can't break the clinch.
Valero gets underhooks to prevent Rolla's takedown attempt.
Rolla is trying to pull guard but Valero has him pressed against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Valero.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Valero lands a hook that snaps the head of Rolla backwards. Valero throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Rolla tries to score a body lock takedown but Valero shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rolla has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Valero works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rolla looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A short body shot lands from Valero as the two fighters clinch.

Valero presses Rolla against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Rolla is looking to control Valero's arms but Valero gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rolla has his back to the cage.
Rolla pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mike Rolla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rolla shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Valero's guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Valero looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Valero is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rolla is controlling him. Rolla wants to control from the top but Valero keeps moving.
 The ref stands the fighters back up because Mike Rolla just wasn't active enough.
Rolla scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Valero tries to buck Rolla off but Rolla is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Valero defending against the ground and pound. Valero prevents Rolla from moving into mount.
Rolla looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Rolla wants to stand but Valero has his arm trapped. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Edwin Valero will probably get the nod. That's time! Rolla's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rolla throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Rolla looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Valero stalks Rolla and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rolla's face. Rolla staggers backwards, shaken.
Rolla drives through and clinches with Valero against the cage.
Rolla is trying to break the clinch but Valero has him pressed against the cage. Valero lands a hook to the side of the head. Rolla has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Rolla tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rolla goes for a takedown attempt but Valero pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mike Rolla is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A left and a right from Valero both land. Nice combination.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Valero gets tackled into the cage by Rolla. Rolla maintains the clinch. Valero blocks a body shot from Rolla. Valero lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. A shot in the inside from Valero.
Rolla manages to break the clinch.
Rolla closes this distance looking for a takedown but Valero circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Rolla. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rolla closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Valero's guard. Rolla controls from within his opponent's guard. Valero is pulling down on Rolla's head to control his posture.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rolla dives in and grabs Valero's left leg, looking for a takedown. Valero pushes down on Rolla's head and hops out. Valero paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Good work by Valero as he checks the leg kick.
Rolla fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Valero, pushing him back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Valero is defending well against a takedown attempt. A frustrated look appears on Rolla's face as he tries to break the clinch. A hook to the body from Valero.
Rolla misses with a hook to the ribs.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Rolla is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Valero gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Valero taking a breather. Valero digs a right hand into Rolla's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Rolla's gas tank. Valero stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Rolla can't break the clinch.
A short right from Valero on the inside. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Valero creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Valero lands a body punch. Rolla stalling in the clinch but Valero improves position. Rolla tries for a takedown. No joy.
Rolla drops down looking for an ankle pick but Valero pulls his leg out and moves away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Valero as he connects with a hook. Valero lunges at Rolla with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rolla's hand.

Rolla is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Valero swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rolla. Oh Rolla is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Valero throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Rolla moves into the clinch successfully.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Valero has Rolla pushed against the cage. Rolla is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Valero to keep the fight standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edwin Valero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Rolla finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Valero's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Rolla falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edwin Valero!
