Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Paulo Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcos Paulo Dias!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Gray!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dias with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gray to score with a decent uppercut.
Dias slips a jab and a cross from Gray.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dias enables Gray to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dias manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gray trying to control but Dias is working from the bottom.
Gray is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Gray tries to free his leg and advance position but Dias is retaining full guard.
Dias is looking to stand up but Gray isn't so interested in that idea.
Gray really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dias. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gray trying to control but Dias is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mark Gray.
Gray throws a series of punches but Dias moves out of range.
Dias takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Gray fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dias sprawls well initially but Gray persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dias blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gray.
Gray throws a strike but Dias avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Gray throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Dias keeping moving, preventing Gray from controlling successfully.
Gray might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dias kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gray throws a big right hand that misses.
Gray pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dias is keeping the position for now.
Gray with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gray stays in close to Dias's body and controls the position.
Gray throws an elbow that misses. Dias uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gray's guard. Nice move by Dias!

Gray controls Dias momentarily but Dias frees himself.
Dias is looking to advance position but Gray has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Gray landing strikes, looking to finish!

Gray looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gray lands a heavy elbow.


Dias is rocked!
Dias is breathing heavily.
Gray wants to control the pace but Dias is squirming around nicely.
Gray looking to finish Dias with some ground and pound. This is bad for Dias!
Oh Dias is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gray scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Dias?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gray looking to control but Dias is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Dias seems to have got his legs back now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Gray dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Gray moves into the clinch successfully.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Gray lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Dias gets full guard.
Grayis looking to pass into half guard but Dias pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Dias is in guard.
Gray lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dias!
Dias keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Gray landing strikes from the mount and Dias is in trouble!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gray lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Gray is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dias is surviving well by controlling Gray's body position as best he can.
Gray lands a heavy elbow.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gray landing punches.
Dias tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Gray working for a guillotine from mount but Dias is in no mood to give up.
Gray scoring with strikes but Dias is staying in there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A nice elbow there by Gray.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gray trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Gray breaks from Dias's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Gray sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gray connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Gray has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dias's face.
Dias is squirming around, avoiding Gray's attempts to control the action.
Gray with a couple of short strikes.
Gray in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Gray looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Gray trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Gray takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gray lands a big shot there that rocks Dias but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Gray connects with a bit shot that sees Dias covering up! More strikes from Gray and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Gray is our winner by TKO!
