Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samurai Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Samurai Jack! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Taylor blocks a head kick by Jack.
Jack misses with a head kick.
Taylor moves out of range of the body kick. Jack leaves Taylor with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jack misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Taylor sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Taylor avoids the head kick by Jack.
Jack lands a nice shot to the body.

and Taylor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Taylor's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Taylor duly obliges.
It looks like Samurai Jack has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! No joy there for Taylor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Samurai Jack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jack attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Jack wants to land a leg kick but Taylor is out of range. Jack scores with a leg kick.
Jack lands a head kick. Taylor smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Taylor missing with a left hand there. Jack was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

A head kick from Jack lands but Taylor takes it in his stride. Jack on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Taylor looks to land a left hand but Jack moved out of range nicely. Taylor fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Some wild striking there from Jack.

Jack fails in his attempt to clinch. Taylor throws a shot from downtown. Jack moves away and avoids it. Taylor dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jack tries a low kick but Taylor avoids it. Jack connects with a leg kick. Taylor looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Jack takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Taylor throws a big shot that misses. A telegraphed right hand from Taylor misses the target.

Jack steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Taylor. Jack connects with a high kick. Jack thumps Taylor with a low kick. Taylor avoids the head kick by Jack.
Jack cracks the inside of Taylor's front leg. Jack gets caught flat footed, as Taylor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jack wants to stand and escape but Taylor is having none of it. Jack is trying to keep Taylor in close.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jack wants to stand but Taylor is controlling the position. Taylor throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor throwing strikes from guard but Jack blocks nicely. Jack manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jack controlling the position easily from mount. Taylor blocking the ground and pound. Taylor is desperately trying to improve his position but Jack has a good base and remains in mount. Jack tries to control but Taylor wriggling away. Jack misses with a head shot. Taylor is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jack thowing shots but they're missing. Jack prevents Taylor from getting the reversal. Jack controlling the position easily from mount. Taylor is working to get back to half guard.
Taylor wants to hold on but Jack pushes him away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Taylor is looking to get to half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Taylor is squirming around, avoiding Jack's attempts to control the action. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Taylor manages to regain half guard. Good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Samurai Jack will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Samurai Jack's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Taylor works over Jack's head and body with a nice combination. Taylor tries for a takedown but Jack sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Good exchange - Jack coming out on top. Jack scores with a kick to the body.
Taylor avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Taylor throws a shot from downtown. Jack moves away and avoids it. Taylor takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Jack lands a head kick!
Jack throws a head kick that misses. Jack is looking to slow Taylor down with leg kicks. Jack tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Taylor keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jack throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Taylor's head. Taylor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor moves out of range of the body kick. Jack with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Taylor misses with a straight right. Taylor shoots in for a double leg but Jack sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jack shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Taylor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jack looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Jack is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Taylor off and has taken his back! Taylor can't escape the position.

Jack slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

They are putting on a show! Taylor is working hard here to advance position. Jack is looking to control Taylor but Taylor is wriggling around and keeping busy. Jack keeps control of the position easily here as Taylor tries to buck him off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Jack doesn't have the hooks in and Taylor manages to turn into his guard.
Taylor lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jack seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Samurai Jack wasn't active enough on the ground. Taylor takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Samurai Jack seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nice cross by Taylor. Taylor takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Taylor scores with a jab. Jack acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Jack throws a head kick that misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Taylor. Jack does a little dance to reset his feet. Taylor throws the left hand but Jack avoids the punch easily. Jack throws a low kick but it's checked well by Taylor. Jack clinches with his opponent.

Taylor goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jack prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jack connects with a nasty looking knee right to Taylor's face.

Samurai Jack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Samurai Jack's cut. That's time! Taylor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Jack's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Taylor connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jack scrambles back to his feet. Taylor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jack circles away quickly and effectively. Jack tries to clinch but Taylor moves out of range. Jack tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Taylor is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jack. A nice inside leg kick there by Jack. That's going to slow Taylor down. Jack with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Taylor to score with a decent uppercut. Jack throws a nice inside leg kick. A cross from Taylor lands. Jack steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Taylor. Taylor lands a jab to Jack's midsection. Jack throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jack turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Taylor keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Jack avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jack throws a solid leg kick but Taylor takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jack. Jack feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Taylor's calf. Jack throws a low kick but Taylor moves out of range easily. Taylor is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Taylor is defended easily by Jack. Taylor sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Taylor swats away the attempt to clinch by Jack. Taylor checks a leg kick. Taylor shoots in looking for a takedown. Jack tries to sprawl out of it but Taylor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jack manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Taylor blocks a head kick by Jack.

A leg kick checked by Taylor. Taylor connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Taylor thows a body shot but no joy. Jack takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Taylor throws a big shot that misses. Ryan Taylor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A nice inside leg kick there by Jack. That's going to slow Taylor down. This has been an exciting period of action! Jack with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jack takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A head kick misses from Jack. Jack closes the distance and clinches. Jack tries to land knees in the clinch but Taylor avoids the damage to the body. Jack with an attempt at a knee that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jack fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Taylor is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Taylor managing to block the knees to the body from Jack.
Taylor prevents a body shot from Jack. Jack tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Jack takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jack tries to land knees in the clinch but Taylor avoids the damage to the body. Taylor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A chopping leg kick lands by Jack. Jack throws a low kick but it's checked well by Taylor. Taylor looks to throw the jab but Jack is out of range. Taylor throws a looping overhand right but Jack ducks down to avoid it. Jack misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jack ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Taylor stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Jack lands a nice leg kick that just misses Taylor's sensitive parts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Jack moves out of range of the strikes. Jack scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Taylor cracks Jack with a right hand to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jack scores with the left hand. Taylor knows he should have avoided that one. Jack trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Jack wriggles free and stands up. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jack bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Taylor shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jack manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryan Taylor. I think Jack has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
