Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Grimble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimble fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Diaz avoids it really well and circles away.
Diaz fails with the takedown.

Grimble changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diaz tries to avoid it but Grimble manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diaz to the ground. Diaz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Diaz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Grimble walks away with a smile on his face. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Grimble shoots for a takedown but Diaz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Diaz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grimble swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That was a close round but I would say that Nate Diaz will probably get the nod.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Diaz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Grimble has managed to free his arm - good work.
Diaz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Grimble is just riding it out for now. Diaz eventually gives up the hold.
Grimble is refusing to be controlled, as Diaz sits in half guard.

Diaz stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Grimble to get to his feet.
Diaz shoots in for a double leg but Grimble sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Horrible takedown by Grimble or perhaps it was just good defense by Diaz which made him look bad.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diaz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Grimble doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Diaz.
Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Grimble is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Diaz seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Grimble is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
