Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin's entrance music is MMA Entrance Theme. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Forrest Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Shawn Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin throws a head kick but Kowalski moves out of range.
Griffin darts in trying to clinch
and Kowalski counters with a two punch combo.
Griffin looks to clinch
and Kowalski counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Griffin tries to clinch there but Kowalski circles away.
Griffin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Griffin throws a wild body kick that Kowalski sees coming a mile off.
Griffin throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Griffin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kowalski walks away with a smile on his face. Griffin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

No joy there for Griffin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Griffin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kowalski paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Griffin throws a nice looking combination but Kowalski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Kowalski takes the fight into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Griffin clobbers Kowalski with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The fight stays on the outside here - Griffin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

I would just about give that final round to Shawn Kowalski.
Well Kowalski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
