Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Kyler Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Egil Olsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Olsen has chosen Era - Ameno as his entrance music. Egil Olsen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Kyler Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Egil Olsen!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olsen misses the shot to the body.
Olsen stuffs the takedown.
Nelson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A nice inside leg kick there by Olsen. That's going to slow Nelson down.
Nelson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Olsen.

Nelson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Olsen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Olsen is trying to get back to full guard.

Nelson wants to work for an arm triangle but Olsen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nelson uses his free foot to push down on Olsen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Olsen.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nelson has control of Olsen's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Olsen regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Nelson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Olsen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nelson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Olsen wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Nelson.

Nelson has hold of Olsen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Olsen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nelson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nelson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Olsen because Nelson loaded up on that one.
Olsen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Nelson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Nelson goes for an armbar but Olsen turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Olsen.

Nelson looking for a triangle here. Olsen is fighting it but it looks tight! Nelson pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Olsen is tapping out - this one is all over!
