Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Ghandi! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin has Ghandi up against the cage in a clinch.
Ghandi has clasped his hands together around Martin's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Ghandi decides to stand back up. Ghandi steps back and let's Martin get back to his feet. A bone on bone clash there as Ghandi blocks the leg kick.

Ghandi slips a jab and a cross from Martin.
Martin tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Ghandi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Martin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ghandi checks the leg kick nicely there.
Martin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ghandi is fending him off so far but Martin persists. Nope, Ghandi circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin shoots in but no luck this time. Ghandi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Martin tries to clinch but Ghandi moves out of range. Paul Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Martin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Martin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Some wild striking there from Martin.
Martin is looking to clinch but Ghandi is avoiding it.
Martin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ghandi moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Martin tries to clinch up. Ghandi circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Martin shoots in but Ghandi avoids the takedown attempt easily. Martin is breathing heavily. Martin misses with a two punch combination.
Martin misses with a low kick. Ghandi swats away the attempt to clinch by Martin. Martin is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Martin throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A head kick misses from Martin. Ghandi fails with the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice combination there by Ghandi.
Martin doesn't manage to clinch there - Ghandi circles away.
Ghandi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Martin. Martin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ghandi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Martin won't be happy with that. Ghandi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ghandi has hold of Martin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Martin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ghandi cranks the arm and Martin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Martin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
