Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryszard Rynkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JJ Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, JJ Steel! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Steel does no damage. Steel misses with a double jab.
Steel lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Rynkowski misses with a straight left. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Rynkowski throws a jab when Steel was well out of range. Steel moves away from the strike by Rynkowski. Steel lands with a thumping leg kick.

Steel throws a quick inside leg kick. Rynkowski dodges the punch combination from Steel.
Steel throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Steel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Steel lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Steel scoring well with a low kick there.
Rynkowski throws a big shot that misses. Steel throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Good leg kick by Steel there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rynkowski loads up on a big right hand but Steel slips the punch. Steel jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like JJ Steel has been cut. Steel uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rynkowski. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jab, jab by Rynkowski - just one landing. I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

JJ Steel's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Steel ducks straight into an uppercut from Rynkowski and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Steel manages to regain guard straight away.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at JJ Steel's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
