Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Kuraba!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuraba looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kuraba lands a jab to the nose.


It looks like Tim Price has been cut.
Kuraba ducks under a wild hook from Price.
Kuraba looks to land a combination but Price avoids it well.
Kuraba keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kuraba scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Price misses with a looping right.
Price scores with a nice head shot.
Kuraba has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Price.
Kuraba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Price.
Price swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Tim Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kuraba jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kuraba tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kuraba throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Price stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kuraba lands with a hook. Price tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kuraba throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Price.

and Price counters with a body kick that stops Kuraba in his tracks momentarily.
Price lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kuraba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Price.
A thudding body kick lands there by Price!
An inside leg kick lands from Price.
Price throws a head kick but Kuraba moves out of range.
Kuraba pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kuraba is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Price.
Price connects with an inside leg kick.
An inside leg kick from Price misses.
Price throws a hook but Kuraba avoids it easily.
Price throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Good exchange - Price coming out on top.
Price slips a jab and a cross from Kuraba.

Price throws a nice outside leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Price forces Kuraba back against the cage and clinches.
Kuraba is trying to push Price away but Price has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Price obliges.

Price breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Price drives through and clinches with Kuraba against the cage.
Kuraba wants to get back to striking at distance but Price won't allow it.

Kuraba has Price pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kuraba pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Price tumbling to the mat - Kuraba dives into Price's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Price keeping full guard, as Kuraba tries to pass.
Kuraba throws a big elbow that misses.
Kuraba trying to control but Price is working from the bottom.
Kuraba has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Price is trying to control the position but Kuraba postures up.
Kuraba scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Price keeping moving, preventing Kuraba from controlling successfully.
Kuraba wants to pass the guard but Price is keeping the position.
Price pulls Kuraba in close to his closed guard and prevents Kuraba from doing any damage or advancing position.
Kuraba chips away with some ground and pound.
Price wants to get back to his feet but Kuraba is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kuraba wants to pass the guard but Price is keeping the position.

Kuraba is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Price keeping moving, preventing Kuraba from controlling successfully.

Price pushes Kuraba off and gets back to his feet.
Kuraba slips under a jab from Price.
A clash of legs there as Kuraba blocks the low kick.
Kuraba lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Price scores with a nice right hand.
Price dodges the punch combination from Kuraba.

Kuraba takes a swing at Price's ribcage but misses.
Kuraba moves out of range of the leg kick from Price.
Kuraba lands a head shot.
Price keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kuraba.
Price doesn't manage to clinch there - Kuraba circles away.
Kuraba scores with a jab to the body.
Kuraba swinging wildly here.
Price throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kuraba fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kuraba throws a shot from downtown. Price moves away and avoids it.
A combination from Price does no damage.
Kuraba thows a body shot but no joy.

Price slips a straight right by Kuraba.
Kuraba takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Price throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kuraba clobbers Price with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Price changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kuraba throws a series of punches but Price avoids them all with ease.
Price on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Price lands with a cross.
Price misses with a wild combination.
A nice combination there by Price.
Kuraba's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kuraba duly obliges.
A big left from Price misses.
Kuraba thows a body shot but no joy.

Price misses with a straight left.
Kuraba lands the left hand.


Price is rocked!


Tim Price's cut is getting worse.
Price moves out of range as Kuraba strikes.
Oh Price is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kuraba's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Kuraba throws a looping overhand right but Price ducks down to avoid it.
Kuraba looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kuraba lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Price falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
