Maka's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Island Music. Haka Maka is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maka looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Phillips!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Maka goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Phillips is on top in guard.
Maka trying to control the position.
Maka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Phillips accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Maka wants to sweep here but Phillips controlling him for the moment.

Maka had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Phillips defends it easily.

Phillips content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Maka has locked up a guillotine! Maka's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Phillips is holding on here and Maka must be using up a lot of energy. Phillips has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Maka gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
