Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Bordin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Almeida kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ja posso suportar!. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bordin tries to sprawl but Almeida drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Almeida has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Almeida goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bordin turns into him and now he's in Almeida's guard.
Bordin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bordin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Bordin throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bordin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Almeida sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bordin somewhat.

Almeida tightens his grip and picks Bordin up, before dumping him to the ground. Bordin manages to land in guard.

Almeida postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bordin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Almeida, into his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Almeida looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bordin has picked Almeida up and slammed him! Almeida can't keep hold of the triangle and Bordin manages to pass to side control!

Almeida changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bordin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Almeida wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bordin keeps working.

Well Bordin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
