Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doctor Octopus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Octopus might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Morbid Angels OCTOPUSS GRIP. Patrick has chosen Man O War as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Patrick. Octopus does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Octopus looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Octopus moves in looking to clinch but Patrick pushes him off.
Doctor Octopus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Patrick counters with a nice double leg into side control. Octopus won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Octopus is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Patrick is just riding it out for now. Octopus eventually gives up the hold.

Octopus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Patrick doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Patrick manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Octopus had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Patrick defends it easily.

Patrick stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Patrick throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Octopus leaves Patrick with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Patrick shoots in but Octopus avoids the takedown attempt easily.
