Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nobunaga Oda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eli Samuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Samuel's choice of entrance music: Stuck in the Moment. The key to victory for Nobunaga Oda has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nobunaga Oda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eli Samuel! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oda closes the distance and clinches. Oda prevents Samuel from breaking the clinch. Oda tries to work over Samuel's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Oda keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Samuel's efforts to push away. Samuel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Samuel tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Oda just stands there and leans against the cage. Samuel is looking to break free of the clinch but Oda has double underhooks. Samuel looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Oda using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Samuel has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Samuel drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Oda gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Samuel is trying to break free. Oda breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Samuel looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Oda punching from the bottom.
Oda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oda avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Samuel. Oda is defending against the submission attempts here by Samuel.
Samuel throwing shots but Oda is blocking nicely. Oda looking for submissions off his back. Oda tries to get to full guard but Samuel has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Samuel is pressing down on Oda's thigh, looking to free his foot. Oda is holding on for now. Samuel is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Samuel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Oda defends it well. Oda trying to hold on to Samuel's head to control him but Samuel postures up.
Oda has one foot on Samuel's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samuel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Samuel looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Oda! Samuel sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oda tries to reverse the position but Samuel maintains control. Samuel with a couple of short strikes. Oda is working to get back to half guard.

Samuel is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Oda is looking to improve his position but Samuel isn't that keen on the idea. Oda tries to lock up and control but Samuel gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Samuel goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Oda is on top in guard.
Samuel kicks Oda off and gets to his feet. Oda closes the distance looking to clinch and Samuel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Oda tries to clinch but Samuel moves away and Samuel counters with a one-two to the body. Samuel fails with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eli Samuel dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Oda escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A slow jab from Oda misses its intended target. Oda tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Samuel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Samuel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Samuel thows a left - swing and a miss! Oda lands a leg kick that knocks Samuel off balance momentarily. Samuel shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Oda defends it nicely. Nobunaga Oda is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. No joy there for Oda, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oda tries a head kick but it misses.
Oda moves into range and clinches up with Samuel. Oda pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Samuel lands a jab-cross combination. Samuel misses the shot to the body. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Samuel. Nobunaga Oda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eli Samuel. Oda tries to clinch but Samuel moves away and Samuel counters with a single leg into guard. Oda didn't expect that. Samuel looking to pass the guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Oda controls Samuel momentarily but Samuel frees himself. Samuel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Oda's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oda looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Samuel postures up in Oda's guard and throws a big left but Oda blocks it. Oda controlling the position. Samuel content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Oda wants to sweep but no luck. Samuel wants to pass the guard but Oda is keeping the position. Samuel with a nice head shot there. Samuel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oda has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Samuel has managed to get both his arms back between Oda's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Samuel wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Oda not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Oda passes to full mount! Oda misses with a head shot. Eli Samuel has got the better of the ground game so far. Oda throws some wild stikes that Samuel manages to avoid easily.
Oda trying to control but Samuel is having none of it. Samuel really wants to buck Oda off and get back to his feet. Samuel is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Samuel holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Oda tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Samuel bucks Oda off and manages to get back to his feet! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Nobunaga Oda will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Oda fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Samuel, pushing him back against the cage. Oda breaks the clinch.
Samuel closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Oda quickly recovers to half guard. Oda makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Samuel will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Oda doesn't manage to clinch there - Samuel circles away.

Oda tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Samuel blocks an uppercut.

Oda wants to clinch. Oda darts in and clinches Samuel up against the cage. Oda throws a knee to the head but misses.
Samuel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Samuel goes for a takedown attempt but Oda pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Samuel shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Oda manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Samuel advances position into side control! Samuel goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Oda has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Samuel but great work by Oda. Oda laying and praying for a moment but Samuel takes advantage and regains half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Samuel is looking to escape. Oda is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Samuel defends it well. Samuel kicks off Oda and gets to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samuel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nobunaga Oda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eli Samuel. Samuel sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Samuel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Oda keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Oda moves into the clinch successfully.
Oda breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Oda wants to clinch. Oda swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oda lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Oda looks to land a combination but Samuel avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oda throws a sloppy head kick and Samuel moves out of range easily. Oda is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Oda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Oda tries to clinch up but Samuel circles away and keeps his distance. Oda is looking to clinch but Samuel is avoiding it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Oda clinches up against the cage. Samuel is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Oda to keep the fight standing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Oda escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Samuel closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Samuel lands in his opponent's guard. Oda wants to stand and escape but Samuel is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nobunaga Oda. I think Oda has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
