Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dominick De Struicao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Marens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marens has chosen Pittbull - Give me everything as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marens swats away the attempt to clinch by De Struicao.
Marens throws a solid leg kick but De Struicao takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Marens.
De Struicao is looking to clinch but Marens is avoiding it.
De Struicao closes the distance looking to clinch

and Marens counters with a nice double leg into side control. De Struicao won't be happy with that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Marens stands up and we're back to a striking position.
De Struicao tries to close the distance and clinch up but Marens swats him away and circles back towards the center.
De Struicao closes the distance but Marens moves to the side

and Marens counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
De Struicao is looking for a sweep. Marens is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
De Struicao gets back to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now De Struicao is on top in guard.

Marens has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but De Struicao can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Marens looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

De Struicao thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
De Struicao forces his way into half guard.
De Struicao trying to control from half guard but Marens is working away.

De Struicao wants to work for an arm triangle but Marens is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Marens regains full guard. Nicely done.
De Struicao wants to control from the top but Marens keeps moving.

Marens has a hand on De Struicao's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. De Struicao takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

De Struicao is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Marens is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
