The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy has Staton up against the cage in a clinch.
Hardy pressing his opponent against the cage.
Staton connects with a knee to the head.
Hardy can't break the clinch.
Hardy manages to break the clinch.
Hardy clinches.
Hardy on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hardy breaks from the clinch.
Staton scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Staton throws a head kick that misses.
Hardy takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Staton fakes the leg kick and cracks Hardy in the body.
Damn Hardy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hardy rushes Staton and presses him up against the cage.
Hardy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hardy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Staton won't allow Hardy to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Staton is one step ahead there.
Hardy striking off his back but it's not causing Staton any problems.
Hardy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Staton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Hardy throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Staton has his hands clasped together but Hardy breaks the hold and Staton is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Hardy!
