The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLoughlin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Tugarinov's calf.
Tugarinov misses with a takedown
and McLoughlin counters with a head kick. That will keep Tugarinov thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
McLoughlin lands a high kick!
Tugarinov shoots and misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tugarinov takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
McLoughlin lands with a shot to the body.
McLoughlin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
McLoughlin throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Tugarinov stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. McLoughlin follows into mount!
Tugarinov is rocked!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
McLoughlin loads up with a big shot that hurts Tugarinov! He's pulled McLoughlin in close but McLoughlin has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Tugarinov survive? More strikes from McLoughlin and Tugarinov is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Angus McLoughlin!
