Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jordan Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barry McKinnon!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McKinnon gets a double leg takedown into Jackson's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Jackson tries to strike from the bottom.
Jackson looking to hit a scissor sweep but McKinnon is one step ahead there.

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McKinnon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jackson looking for a sweep. Not yet Jackson, not yet.
McKinnon postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it.
Jackson looking to control.
Jackson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McKinnon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Jackson keeping moving, preventing McKinnon from controlling successfully.

McKinnon stands up from Jackson's guard - McKinnon perhaps looking for a knockout.
McKinnon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson wants to clinch
and McKinnon counters with a series of strikes. Jackson will be more careful next time no doubt.
McKinnon throws a right and a left that Jackson avoids nicely.
McKinnon closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Jordan Jackson has been cut.
McKinnon jabs at Jackson's body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McKinnon cracks Jackson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. McKinnon has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jackson to stand back up!


Jackson is rocked!
Jackson is breathing heavily.
McKinnon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Oh Jackson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

McKinnon has taken the fight to the clinch.

McKinnon jumps into guard, dragging Jackson to the mat.
Jackson seems to have got his legs back now.
Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but McKinnon is retaining full guard.
McKinnon not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McKinnon wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McKinnon striking off his back but it's not causing Jackson any problems.
McKinnon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jackson throws an elbow that misses. McKinnon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jackson's guard. Nice move by McKinnon!
McKinnon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Jackson is striking but McKinnon is not phased and passes to half guard.

Jackson actively working from the bottom here.

McKinnon maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Jackson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but McKinnon has cracked it and Jackson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by McKinnon!
