Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juinor Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Tic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juinor Santos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos avoids a punch combination nicely.
Peter Tic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Tic gets a double leg takedown into Santos's guard.
Santos wants to stand but Tic is controlling the position.
Tic is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tic wants to pass the guard but Santos is keeping the position.

Tic gets to his feet - Santos follows without any prompting.

Tic darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Tic winds up and cracks Santos with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Santos has hold of Tic's hands but Tic slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Tic seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Tic postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Santos to stand up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Tic postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Santos looks a forlorn figure.
Tic takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Santos squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Tic is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Santos can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

It looks like Tic might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Peter Tic has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Tic gets the takedown into side control.
Santos is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tic asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Tic working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Tic has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Santos!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

You get the feeling that Santos really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Santos gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tic is persistently looking for the submission but Santos is defending it well.

Santos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tic is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Santos has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Tic has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Santos has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santos trying to get back to his feet but Tic is in full control for now.
Santos is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Tic.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Tic. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
