The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trejo closes the distance and clinches.
Trejo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Trejo lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Varz Defoe has been cut.
Defoe misses with a punch to the body.
Trejo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Trejo breaks from the clinch.
Trejo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Trejo lands with a cross.
Trejo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A punch lands to the side of Defoe 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Defoe uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Trejo misses with a wild combination.
Trejo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Defoe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Trejo as he avoids it easily.
Trejo looks up at the clock. Bad move! Defoe lands a right hand from hell, dropping Trejo. Defoe pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Varz Defoe!
