Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Quittin Hackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thiago Satillo! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A right-left combo lands from Satillo. Satillo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Satillo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hackson manages to avoid it. Hackson scores with a nice head shot. Satillo lands a really nice looking cross but Hackson seems unphased.
Satillo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Satillo avoids the body shot from Hackson.
Hackson throws a big shot that misses. Hackson just misses with a punch to the body.
Satillo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Satillo moves in looking to clinch but Hackson pushes him off. Hackson scores with a body shot.
Hackson connects with a body shot that sends Satillo's belly button to the back. Hackson throws a lazy right hand but Satillo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hackson misses with a hook. Satillo ducked under it nicely. Satillo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Satillo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hackson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Donk. Hackson catches Satillo right on the button with a cross. Nice defenses there by Satillo. Satillo misses the body punch letting Hackson counter with a right hand. Hackson slips a straight right by Satillo. Hackson throws the left hand but Satillo avoids the punch easily. Hackson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Satillo tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Satillo jabs Hackson to the body, keeping him at a distance. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A jab from Hackson misses. A slow jab from Hackson misses its intended target. Hackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Satillo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Quittin Hackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Satillo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Satillo misses with the combination.
Satillo misses the shot to the body. Hackson scores with a jab to the body. Satillo throws a body punch but Hackson moves out of range. Satillo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Satillo trying to pass the guard but Hackson defending well. Satillo seems to be working for a kimura but Hackson defends the submission attempt. Hackson is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Satillo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hackson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Satillo. Satillo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hackson has managed to free his arm - good work. Hackson trying to control but Satillo postures up.
Satillo is working for a submission of some sort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Satillo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Satillo seems to be working for a kimura but Hackson defends the submission attempt. Satillo prevents Hackson from improving his position. Satillo trying to control the action but Hackson is working from the bottom.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Hackson is doing well to control the position and prevent Satillo from advancing to side control. Satillo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Satillo is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Satillo wants to work for an arm triangle but Hackson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Satillo wants to pass to mount but Hackson is defending the position. Hackson preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Hackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Satillo on the ground. Satillo wants to control but Hackson is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hackson keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Hackson throws a body punch but Satillo moves out of range. No luck for Satillo with that takedown attempt. Hackson digs a good hook to Satillo's body.
Hackson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Satillo. Hackson misses with a wild body shot. Satillo is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hackson rather than just go for the knockout. Satillo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hackson throws out the jab. Hackson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hackson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Hackson jabs Satillo to the body, keeping him at a distance. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hackson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Satillo.
Quittin Hackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Satillo throws a hook to the side of Hackson's head but Hackson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hackson cracks Satillo with a good jab. Hackson moves out of range of the strikes. Satillo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hackson. Hackson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hackson misses with a wild body shot. Satillo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Satillo lands in his opponent's guard. Hackson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hackson tries to get out of the position. Satillo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Satillo drops back looking for a leg! Hackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hackson manages to kick Satillo off! Satillo jumps back into Hackson's guard. Satillo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hackson is keeping the position for now. Hackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Satillo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Satillo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Satillo tries to free his leg and advance position but Hackson is retaining full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hackson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Satillo advances position into side control!
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Satillo is trying to get an arm triangle but Hackson is defending well. Hackson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Satillo off and has taken his back! Hackson struggling to keep hold of the position.
Hackson has the hooks in. Satillo is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Satillo tries to escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quittin Hackson. I think Hackson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
