The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws out a loose jab but Satillo uses good head movement to avoid it.
A slow jab from Diaz misses its intended target.
Satillo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Diaz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Satillo somewhat.
Satillo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Diaz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Satillo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Satillo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Satillo tries to clinch but Diaz is having none of it.
The fighters circling - Diaz throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Satillo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Satillo dives in and grabs Diaz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes down on Satillo's head and hops out.

Diaz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

The fighters circle momentarily. Diaz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Satillo throws the left hand but Diaz avoids the punch easily.

Satillo shoots in and bounces Diaz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Satillo drops back looking for a leg! Diaz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diaz manages to kick Satillo off! Satillo jumps back into Diaz's guard.
Satillo stands and throws Diaz's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diaz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Satillo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Diaz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Satillo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Diaz, who protects the arm well.

Satillo has hold of Diaz's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Diaz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Satillo cranks the arm and Diaz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Diaz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
