Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Solonik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Adolfson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adolfson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: homie hymne. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Quinton Adolfson! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adolfson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Adolfson wants to pass the guard but Solonik is keeping the position. Adolfson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Adolfson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Solonik striking off his back but it's not causing Adolfson any problems. Adolfson passes Solonik's left leg - he's now in half guard. Adolfson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Solonik keeps working. Solonik might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Adolfson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Solonik has managed to free his arm - good work. Adolfson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Solonik shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Adolfson is staying active underneath Solonik, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Solonik is really struggling to control Adolfson but he's trying to hold on to the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Adolfson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Adolfson keeping moving, preventing Solonik from controlling successfully. Adolfson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Solonik knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Adolfson on the ground. Adolfson looks gassed! Solonik trying to control the position from guard on top but Adolfson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Solonik gets caught flat footed, as Adolfson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Solonik looking for a guillotine here but Adolfson defends easily.

Solonik wants to stand up but Adolfson is controlling him. Solonik can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Adolfson controls the pace. Adolfson trying to control but Solonik is working from the bottom. Adolfson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Solonik manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Adolfson has Solonik in his guard. Adolfson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Solonik is sitting in close to Adolfson's body. Adolfson has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Solonik is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Solonik is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Adolfson.
