The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor shoots for a takedown but Prudente saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Prudente stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Prudente wants it to stay on the feet.
Prudente tries to close the distance and clinch up but Taylor swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Taylor's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Prudente cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Prudente throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Taylor defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Prudente.

Prudente fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Prudente has hold of Taylor's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Taylor manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Taylor is in all sorts of trouble here.
