Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Issac Oliver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank James! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliver shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. James fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Oliver manages to avoid it. Oliver tries to score a power double leg takedown but James sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Oliver somewhat. No joy there for James, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Frank James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A looping hook to the body misses from James. Oliver does a little dance to reset his feet. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by James. Good leg kick by James there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
James throws a head kick that misses. Oliver closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. James did well to prevent Oliver getting side control. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. James moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. James is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Oliver defends well. James is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Oliver defending well though.

James has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Oliver tries to kick James off but James keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. James wants to work for an arm triangle but Oliver is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
James is trying to control. Oliver wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. James is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Oliver is trying to control but can't.

No, Oliver has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

James is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Oliver defends it well. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Oliver is looking to escape. Oliver is looking to control James's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Oliver avoid being mounted? Oliver missing with punches from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliver keeping full guard, as James tries to pass. James postures up in Oliver's guard and throws a big left but Oliver blocks it. James wants to pass the guard but Oliver is keeping the position. James looking to sit in guard and control but Oliver gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Oliver sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed James's guard. James actively working from the bottom here. James looking for submissions off his back. Oliver is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round. James is in trouble now - Oliver has advanced to mount! Oliver tries to control but James wriggling away. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Oliver cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Oliver looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Oliver landing shots from mount. Oliver wants to control the pace but James is squirming around nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Oliver connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
James is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Oliver has taken his back.
Oliver is trying to stick to James's back but James is turning into Oliver. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Oliver's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by James. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Issac Oliver will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Oliver shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Oliver was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Oliver with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
James swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Oliver is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But James has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from James! James passes into half guard. Oliver trying to hold on to James's head to control him but James postures up.
James is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Oliver has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, James escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by James! Oliver tries to strike from the bottom but misses. You can see the frustration on Oliver's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Oliver is looking to work his way out of this bad position but James is controlling him well. James thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Oliver tries to escape but James is in control. James is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Oliver has escaped the position, nice work there. Oliver regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliver wants to control but James is keeping busy and won't allow it. James is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Oliver is just riding it out for now. James eventually gives up the hold. James is trying to work for a kimura but Oliver is defending well.
Oliver is trying to get back to full guard. Issac Oliver overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Oliver is staying active underneath James, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Oliver wants to control but James is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Oliver has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but James can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Oliver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Oliver looking to control.

James wants to pass the guard but Oliver is keeping the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Oliver manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. James manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Issac Oliver will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
James takes a swing at Oliver's ribcage but misses. James misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
James slaps away a takedown attempt from Oliver, before circling back to the center of the mat. James misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oliver misses with a takedown and James counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Oliver throws a wild hook but James just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Oliver gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - James raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank James! Jumping up and down and very excited, Frank James waved his t-shirt featuring Cyclone Nutrition Company's logo in front of the cameras.
