Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tug Speedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Parker! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tug Speedman! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker moves out of range of the strikes. Speedman throws a body punch but Parker moves out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Parker is defended easily by Speedman. Speedman connects with a right hand. Parker shakes it off. Parker defending well as Speedman loads up on a big left hand. Speedman throws a predictable looking body shot
and Parker counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Speedman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Parker moves forwards but Speedman connects with a nice, crisp jab. A big left from Speedman misses. Speedman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parker.

Parker looking to score a takedown here. Speedman is defending well but Parker drives through and ends up in Speedman's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Parker wants to pass the guard but Speedman is keeping the position. Parker lands a couple of elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker preventing the sweep. Parker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Speedman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Speedman can do anything to dispel that myth. Speedman has control of Parker's left arm, preventing Parker from doing any damage. Parker throws a big elbow that misses. Speedman looking to control.
Parker lands a couple of elbows. Parker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Parker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Parker content to stall in guard here. Speedman looking for a sweep. Not yet Speedman, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parker postures up in Speedman's guard and throws a big left but Speedman blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Parker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Parker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Parker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Parker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Speedman is rocked! Parker postures up in Speedman's guard and throws a big left but Speedman blocks it. Parker stays in close to Speedman's body and controls the position. Speedman is trying to keep Parker in close.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Speedman lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Parker at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Speedman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Speedman tries to buck Parker off but Parker is having none of it. Parker lands an elbow. Speedman is still in real trouble! Can Parker finish him? Speedman tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Parker presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Parker breaks from Speedman's wrist control and lands an elbow. Parker lands a big shot to the head and Speedman winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Frank Parker! Frank Parker retains his featherweight title! Frank Parker was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
