Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karl Evraerts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suki Jaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evraerts comes to the cage accompanied by Drowning Pool - Bodies. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karl Evraerts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Suki Jaki! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaki misses with a wild combination.
Jaki throws a lazy body kick and Evraerts connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Evraerts stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Evraerts wants it to stay on the feet. Jaki misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jaki is trying hard to land a takedown here. Evraerts sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Karl Evraerts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Suki Jaki. Evraerts keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jaki tries to land a leg kick but Evraerts saw it coming and moves away.
Jaki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Evraerts's waist but Evraerts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jaki off to one side. Jaki fails with a takedown attempt. A head kick misses from Jaki.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jaki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Evraerts circles away. Jaki shoots in for a takedown but Evraerts shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A nice leg kick lands there from Evraerts. Jaki looks gassed! Evraerts moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Jaki goes down! Can Evraerts finish him!? This has been an exciting period of action! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Evraerts wants to stand and escape but instead Jaki has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Evraerts is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jaki is controlling him. Jaki cracks Evraerts with a solid left hand. Jaki stops Evraerts from standing up. Evraerts looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jaki is one step ahead there. Jaki postures up and lands a big shot to Evraerts's brow. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaki gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Jaki looks to throw a body kick and Evraerts counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jaki fails with a takedown attempt. Evraerts waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Jaki. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Jaki to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Jaki is rocked! Evraerts preventing the sweep. Jaki is still in real trouble! Can Evraerts finish him? Evraerts wanted to stand there but Jaki had control of the position. Jaki seems to have recovered his senses. Evraerts working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Evraerts throws a big elbow that misses. Evraerts stopping the sweep attempt from Jaki.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evraerts has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jaki is proving hard to escape from. Jaki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Evraerts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jaki looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Evraerts throws a strike but Jaki rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jaki passes Evraerts's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jaki is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Evraerts defends it well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Evraerts blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jaki. Jaki in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Evraerts tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Jaki!
